The Big Bang Theory is an American television show created by Chuck Lorre and Bill Prady. It aired on CBS from September 24, 2007, to May 16, 2019. The show ran for 12 seasons and aired 279 episodes. The show is centered around five characters who live in Pasadena, California. The main characters are Leonard, Sheldon, Penny, Howard, and Raj. Leonard and Sheldon are co-workers and roommates. Both Leonard and Sheldon work as physicists. Penny is their neighbor, who works as a waitress and is also an aspiring actress. Howard and Raj are Leonard and Sheldon's socially awkward friends and co-workers. The cast expands when Howard marries his wife Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz and Shelden marries his wife, Amy Fowler. The show centers around how Shelden and Leonard’s as well as their introverted friends life style quickly changes when they meet their lively neighbor Penny.
